1. Do NOT post sexual and/or pornographic content:
Doing anything of such nature will result in a permanent IP ban. You will be stripped of all staff power, or any power for that matter, on this website. We do NOT take such things lightly, and this is a very serious issue. This includes links, attachments, and even chat. Sending anything of sexual nature is not only against the rules, but seeing how minors are welcome to use the site, illegal. This website is supposed to be Child Friendly. Think twice before posting.
2. Do NOT post hateful or abusive content:
Calling other users names, threatening other users, posting vulgar threads, posting "morbid" pictures or links, etc. is strictly against the rules. You are not to call other users derogatory terms, all hair color, skin color, sexuality, ethnicity, are welcome here. It does not matter if you have red, blond, black, brown hair, if you're gay, straight, lesbian, bisexual, pansexual, you are welcome here. It doesn't matter if you're black or white. You could be purple for all I care. YOU'RE WELCOME HERE. I cannot stress this enough. Everyone is welcome here.
3. Do not post defamatory content and / or posts that effect the integrity of a person:
If what you are posting is slanderous, defamatory, illegal in ANY state, country, continent, it is not welcome here.
4. Sales / Exchange:
Selling items on or through our website is allowed, but under strict circumstances. Seeing how we cannot view every single post, it's going to be difficult to monitor everything with such a small team. You may post links to supported websites where you may then advertise your product that you're selling. Supported websites include Ebay, and Amazon. That is it. There are limitations to what you can post a link to. The product must have to do with the topic at hand. This website is about gaming. That means if what you are selling is NOT a game console, a game, a game controller, or memory cards / cartridges, you cannot post a link on this website.
NOTE: The ConsoleGamingCenter can NOT, nor will we be held responsible for any issues that arise as the result of members, staff, and visitors advertising, buying, or selling to one another. If you do happen to encounter any issues upon purchasing a product, please take it up with the website you purchased from or the member you purchased the product from!
5. Copyright infringement / Hacking:
This is a sketchy issue and there are a whole lot of iffy areas when it comes to hacking and copyright infringement. More specifically, Roms and Emulators. Seeing how we cannot know for sure whether or not the use of Emulators or the Downloading of Roms is legal, we can know that it is an act of piracy to provide such services. You are expected not to post any links, attachments, downloads, etc. to Emulators and roms. This is just something we cannot deal with. If you are caught posting any content associated with emulation, including the emulator itself, bios files, roms, etc. your post will be removed. Further action may be taken depending on the severity of the post. You are not to post hacks that tamper with the game or the game's source code. However, you may post Cheats. Cheat codes were added to the game by the game's creators and were specifically meant to be there. Those are okay to share. However, if you're not supposed to be doing it, don't. This means no hacks.
For clarity: You may discuss emulators, bios files, roms, all you like, but you're not permitted to link or attach downloads containing emulators, bios files, and roms.
6. Don't post Spam/Phishing/Malware Links, Websites, Attachments, Etc:
Posting malicious files, attachments, etc. is against the rules. You will without a doubt be IP banned by doing so. If a file is a .bat or .exe do a google search on the file that is being sent before accepting/downloading it. If you can't find anything or if you find anything suspicious, don't download it. If all seems good, go ahead. If you post a file and it is taken down but you believe there was nothing wrong with the file, something likely seemed fishy to a staff member or failed a virus scan. If your file was taken down, do not repost it or you will be temporarily banned, even if the file wasn't malicious. The staff members do not want to run the risk of getting a virus, so we virus scan the files. If the scan says the file is malicious, the file gets tossed. If you would like to post a video of you opening and then uploading the file alongside the file, you may do so. This way, the file is more likely to stay up. If you find a file that is malicious that remains un-deleted, please report the post and a staff member will check the file again.
NOTE: If your computer takes damage from an infected file that you accepted from another user, consolegamingcenter can not be held responsible for any damage done.
7. Keep your Real Life Information Personal:
Your real life information is for real life, not the internet. Do not share your full name, do not share your city, do not share billing information, do not share your address, and do not share any other personal information.
8. Do not ask for a staff position
This one is pretty self explanatory. If you ask for a staff position you will be banned. As simple as that. If you want a staff position, send in an application when we're looking for Job fillings. Follow the format or your application will not be accepted, and understand that you are applying for an unpaid position. ConsoleGamingCenter does NOT profit from this website, and neither will you. This is all just for the fun of the game, really. If you send in an application, meet the requirements, and follow the format, you are more likely to get a position than if you beg for one.
9. Keep it clean
It doesn't have to be squeaky clean, but rather clean. Profanity is not allowed. While it is a small offence, action will still be taken.
10. No Re-Posting
We want the website to be as original in content as possible, so make sure whatever you're posting is fresh, new content that has never before been posted. This means no copy pasting someone else's post to make it your own, and this means no posting something you previously posted for "post counts" or to give it some more attention. Rather than re-posting, try "Bumping" (Bring up my Post) your thread in the comment section. The more comments on the thread the more likely it is to be seen. Remember though, Spam is also against the rules, so try to keep your bumping to a minimal of 3. If we find that you're spamming your threads or other's threads, your comment will first be deleted. If the problem occurs again, you will get a warning. If the problem continues, you will get a temporary ban (usually 1 - 3 days). If the problem occurs again when you return, you will have your account banned.
11. Age Restrictions:
You MUST be of age to use and register to the website / forum boards. If you are 10 or under you are not allowed to register. If we find that you are under the age restriction your account will be banned. You must be 11 years or older to use this site.
12. Obey the rules:
We cannot keep watch over every post, so we are trusting you not to get into any trouble. By accessing the website you are agreeing to all of the rules that were mentioned. By creating an account and not agreeing to the rules you are trespassing. Having access to this website, let alone any website is a privilege and your privilege to access the site can be revoked at any time, as well as everyone else's on your network using the same IP address as you.
13. You don't have to like authority, you just have to respect it:
The Staff Members and I will try our best to see your side of a story, but what the staff say goes. If you feel a staff member is abusing their powers, please explain in detail to one of the Support Staff, or if the problem is a support staff, send me a message. Explain in a Mature manner what the problem is, and what we can do to help. We will then look into the problem. Keep in mind we have to have solid evidence that the Staff member was abusive with their powers. Then they get a warning. They're not fired straight off the bat. If it's an on-going problem, then they're more likely to be "let go." Back on topic, if you are having an altercation with a staff member, keep in mind that they ARE the authority figure, and they have the right to punish you however they feel is reasonable.

Mild Punishment: Permanent account bans.
Minor Punishment: Post deletion, warnings, temporary account bans.
